From Surviving to Living

Meet the founder of Fire & Soul

I'm Kelly, founder of Fire & Soul, a Positive Psychology Coach, trauma-informed Breathwork Facilitator and Sound Practitioner.

I help people understand their mind, body and nervous system so they can move from feeling stuck, overwhelmed or disconnected to living with greater clarity, alignment and freedom.

My work combines positive psychology, nervous system understanding, breathwork, sound healing and practical coaching tools to create meaningful, sustainable change.

But Fire & Soul wasn't born from qualifications alone.

It was born from my own journey through burnout, grief, anxiety, career pressure and rebuilding a life that felt aligned with who I truly am.

For much of my life, I was the person who kept going.

I built a successful career in education, eventually becoming a Director of Education responsible for the wellbeing and outcomes of entire school communities. I was ambitious, capable and deeply committed to serving others.

But behind the achievements, I was carrying more than most people realised.

The loss of my mum at 24, years of anxiety, the pressure of leadership, motherhood without a village, and the belief that I simply needed to keep pushing through had all taken their toll. Outwardly, life looked full and successful. Internally, I was exhausted.

In 2021, my body finally forced me to stop.

Burnout, followed by Long COVID, became a turning point. The strategies I had relied on for years - staying busy, striving, achieving and simply coping - were no longer enough.

For the first time, I began to understand that healing wasn't about trying harder. It was about slowing down and listening.

My Story

What Changed?

My recovery didn't come from a single breakthrough. It came from a series of small but profound shifts. And it took time.

I discovered sound healing and experienced something I hadn't felt for years: stillness. For the first time, the constant noise of modern life seemed to soften, and I began to understand the power of rest, presence and nervous system regulation.

Soon after, I found breathwork. What began as a way to support my recovery from Long COVID became a daily practice that transformed my relationship with stress, emotions and resilience. Through the breath, I learned to listen to my body rather than fight against it.

Around the same time, I chose to remove alcohol from my life. What I thought was helping me cope was often disconnecting me from the very things I was searching for - energy, joy, presence and freedom.

As I explored positive psychology, nervous system science, breathwork and the wisdom found in nature and simpler ways of living, I began to see a different path forward. It’s now not a life built on pushing harder, but with the aim of understanding myself more deeply, and living more in tune with the rhythm of nature.

Why is this important?

Today, I'm incredibly proud of what I achieved during my career in education, and equally proud of the life I've created since. A life with more presence, more freedom and more intention. One where my children experience a different rhythm to the one I grew up with; more connection, more time outdoors, more curiosity and a slower, more conscious way of living.

Perhaps what I'm most proud of is beginning to break patterns that had been passed down through generations. Choosing a different relationship with stress, success, rest and wellbeing, and showing my children that there is more than one way to live a meaningful life.

That doesn't mean life is perfect. But it does mean it's aligned.

Why Fire & Soul Exists

Through my own journey, I came to realise that many of the struggles we experience today are not because we are broken, weak or failing. Often, we are simply trying to navigate a modern world that asks more of us than ever before.

We're surrounded by constant stimulation, artificial light, endless notifications, pressure to achieve, and a pace of life that leaves little room to rest, reflect or simply be.

At the same time, we've drifted away from many of the things that once helped humans thrive: connection, community, movement, nature, meaningful purpose and time to slow down.

Fire & Soul was created from a belief that many of the answers we seek are found in returning to what we've drifted away from. When we slow down and begin to listen, we often discover that our bodies have been carrying stories that our minds have long forgotten.

Through Conscious Connected Breathwork and nervous system-informed practices, many people experience the release of stored emotions, tension and protective patterns, creating space for healing, softness and a different way of being.

A chance to put down what was never yours to carry forever.

Through coaching, breathwork and sound, I help people reconnect with themselves, understand their mind, body and nervous system more deeply, and create lives that feel calmer, more aligned and more intentional.
